Glacier National Park is located in northern Montana, right along the Canadian border. The park is a summer wonderland, transforming from snow covered mountains into lush green valleys with waterfalls tumbling into them from granite peaks. A key feature of the park is Going to the Sun Road, which typically opens in late June until snow closes it in the fall. The park is huge and each region is like its own mini park with hikes and destinations all of its own. Popular regions include Apgar Village on the west side of the park and Many Glacier on the east side of the park.
